Improve your skin tone & texture with Light therapy

Even your skin tone with your Rejuve mask

Everyday life takes its toll on our skin. Skin tone and texture can quickly become uneven, blotchy or even rough and bumpy. Thats where light therapy can help. LED light therapy uses light as source of energy to fuel the repair and rejuvenation of damaged cells. Then this energy stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. Stimulating collagen boosts circulation and accelerates tissue repair.

Our co founder has been using LED light therapy to help with a number of issues, pigmentation, uneven skin tone, dehydrated skin lack of elastin and she has shared her routine for a brighter more even complexion.

Commitment is key

Like anything where you want to see results commitment and consistency is key. We all know that skin is a very personal subject and there isn't a 'one fits all' answer but here are what we recommend in the main but you may want to tweak certain things accordingly.

  1. Find a cleanser to suit your skin and introduce this day and night. You may find that you like one cleanser in the AM and a different one in the PM. Some of our favourites are Dr Dennis gross AHA/BHA cleansing gel, Cerave SA smoothing cleanser. If you're removing makeup before hand it is always best to double cleanse and use a pre cleansing balm to really make sure nothing is left on your skin. Our favourite is the Elemis pro-collagen cleansing balm. Top tip - try using warm water rather than too hot or too cold.
  2. With a clean and dry face, introduce your Rejuve mask either day or night. We find it more relaxing to use light therapy in the evenings when we have shut off and can enjoy the quiet, calming time. The photos above were taken 8 weeks apart with consistent use of RED LIGHT THERAPY for 20 minutes 4 times a week. LED SKINCARE MASK AND CLEANSER
  3. Once you have used your mask, apply your serums, eye cream and moisturiser AFTER USING YOUR MASK. There is really no need for over complicated skincare routines. Sometimes adding more to your skin can be more damaging.
  4. *IMPORTANT * It is so important to use daily SPF specific for your face. This should really be SPF 50 and protect against UVA and UVB rays. The sun is the biggest contributing factor to aging skin so we really need to protect it. Use your SPF facial protection in the day time. There is no need for SPF before bed.

  5. More than anything, stay consistent. You can't expect to see results if you're just dipping into your skincare routine every now and then. Especially using LED light therapy. Commit to your routine and you will see positive results within weeks.
